We really like this new App called Timon ( Time On ). It connects you to have a chat with influencers across industries and they then get paid for their time. In a short chat you may be able to get some guidance from an expert which would otherwise be completely inaccessible to you. Inaccessible or non-responsive, because time is money. Experts aren’t in the business of giving away too much of their wealth creating resource; time. Unless they get paid for it.
We tried Timon for the first time last week. We are currently launching a new mobile app that provides a free marketing service to restaurants. So we were looking to connect with an influencer in the Cape Town restaurant trade. We got on the app and soon had a chat scheduled with the restaurant reviewer Dax Villaneuva. Dax was able to give us honest advice and we did not have to jump through hoops and waste time to get an appointment with an expert. The experience was pleasant and the app is a quick connector of people so a knowledge transfer can take place. It cost us R100 for 12 min with Dax and both parties had a productive use of their own time.
